We are currently working on a set of videos teaching you how to make your own set of pendants and earring.  In the meantime, here are some steps to follow to make two of our signature pendants.

The Loop

Follow these steps with us and make your first piece of jewelry (complete steps will be available by the end of the weekend).

Step 1.png

STEP 1

Using your round-nosed pliers, bend and form a loop at one end of the silver or copper wire.

STEP 2

At the bottom of the loop, bend the wire to approximately 90 degrees.

STEP 3

Using your fingers to get a gentle curve, bend the wire to make a circle.

STEP 4

Using the round-nosed pliers, bend the end around the loop.

STEP 5

continue the loop a couple of times to secure the frame in place.

step 1

Bend the wire in the middle.  Using round-nosed pliers, continue the bend and make a nice size bail for your pendant to hang from.

STEP 2

Holding the loop with needle-noses pliers so that one side of the loop is in the front, facing you, and the other side of the loop is behind that (facing away from you), bend the long ends of the wire to the sides, away from each other.

STEP 3

Now, using you fingers to get a gentle curve, bend the sides round to almost make a circle.

STEP 4

Using round nosed pliers, bend the ends into an outward loop.
Try to make both sides match and double check that your electronic gemstone fits in the middle,  leaving enough space around it to attach it to your frame.

STEP 5

Find your two longer pieces of 26 gauge copper.  Wrap the thin (26 gauge) wire around at the bottom and at the top, around the bottom of the bail.

STEP 6

Find your shorter pieces of 26 gauge copper.  Place them through the holes around the edges of your electronic gemstone, and fold them in the center.

STEP 7

Do the same with whichever holes you want to use to attach your gem to the frame.  Be sure to use only the small holes around the outside of the board.  They are designed for this purpose, and will not short out you board the way other might.

STEP 8

Center your gemstone, and bend the small wires around the frame a little to help hold the gem in place.
